Now that you have met them all, perhaps it's time to say goodbye to the Fockers family. The latest of the familiar Christmas Fockers franchise, Little Fockers, is not remotely as funny as the original Meet the Parents or Meet the Fockers.
The plot? Not much, aside from the fight between the son-in-law and the father-in-law. Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and wife Pam (Teri Polo) are busy as it is preparing for their little ones' 5th birthday party and guess who turns up to add on to the hustle and bustle? Ex-CIA father-in-law Jack Brynes (De Niro) who is at the age whereby one is prone to heart attacks and eager to hand down the burden as head of the Brynes clan.
Weak plot aside, the film gets all too dreary that even hot babe Jessica Alba – as a flirtatious drug representative – and the adorable new kids will not be able to save. From the extremely stale "I'm watching you" pantomime to all-too-cliched erectile-dysfunction pills, the film is as formulaic as can be but it will go down easy with those looking for a few cackles or simply to complete the whole Focker collection.
