Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2

How would the eighth part of the Harry Potter movie series fare? Well, our writer thinks all would be blown away and much saddened by this last installment.

Hero Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), and his bosom buddies Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) seeks out to destroy the Horcruxes that keep Ralph Fiennes the evil Voldermort alive in their world – one that is now lost to the spooky Dementors. And before the ultimate showdown, the mysterious Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) reveals his true allegiance.

The cast does a great job as usual but it is Matthew Lewis that stole the show as  Neville, an unsung hero revealed at the end of the plot. One for the underdog, we say! This time, the members of the supporting cast such as Flitwick (Warwick Davis) and Slughorn (Jim Broadbent) perform some amazing magic of their own too.

The pace of the movie felt rushed at the beginning especially when compared to the book, to which it kept faithful to in terms of dialogue. Moving fast and furious it may be, it is nonetheless satisfying. The issue of death is well captured, sending much welled-up tears to the audiences' eyes.

Even without the 3D effects, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 would just be as magical and J.K. Rowling's addictive epic series ends with a big bang for fans, who would be terribly sad to leave the cinema for the final time.
