Superman is portrayed in a different light as this movie brings you through his birth and snippets of him having difficulties blending in with human children when he was younger. The short history of his life as a young boy gives depth and dimension to his character for the opportunity of the audience to relate with him.

As a man of 33, he struggles with his birthright and is constantly at odds with himself for being born a “freak”. He ventures on a journey to find the true nature of his being and his lineage. What he discovers shocks him and he must overcome his adversities in order to save the Earth from total annihilation from the few survivors of his own alien race.

The graphics are vividly stunning, so much that you feel yourself being sucked into the movie as you journey along with Superman. The storyline is refreshingly brilliant with plenty of hard thumping action awaiting to delight your senses.

Finally, we all see Superman ditch that ridiculous outer-underwear thing, and don a darker full-body suit that accentuates every crease of his yummy muscles, complete with a red velvety cape billowing out behind him and a codpiece for that extra bulge for his super-crouch.

All in all, the much anticipated excitement for the launch of this blockbuster paid off. Man of Steel is beautifully crafted, breathtakingly spectacular and tons of fun.
