Love is in the Air as Pokémon Go Celebrates Valentine’s Day Early with Special Perks

Celebrations for Valentine’s Day are already in full swing in Pokémon Go as the game unveils its first big event of 2017 with a myriad of perks for players.
These perks are designed to lure ex-players back to the game, and we have to say, the inclusion of an event makes for a fresher take on the long-forgotten game.
Starting from 9 February in Singapore:
“Who even plays Pokémon Go anymore?” you ask, while discretely opening the app after a few months of non-usage. Yes, Pokémon Go might not be the talk of the town anymore but in January this year, but the app analytics firm Sensor Tower reported that the game had passed $1 billion in revenue since its launch seven months ago back in July 2016.|
Because of how rapidly players are leaving Pokémon Go, the company has decided to introduce events and new Pokémon into the equation to keep things interesting. The Christmas event last year proved successful in reeling the players back in, and with South Korea only getting into the game now, Pokémon Go will still be rolling in the dough for awhile.
