Macaroon lovers rejoice! Ladurée, one of the best known makers of macaroons in the world is opening an outlet and counter at Takashimaya in Singapore. The launch of the new outlet will be on 15 April.
The Pâtisserie E. Ladurée company is a renowned maker of luxury cakes and pastries based in Paris and founded in 1862.
Ladurée’s counter will be situated on the first level right in between the Louis Vuittion and Chanel stores in Takashimaya where it will solely be selling their famous macaroons, while the boutique will be located on the second level (#02-09) where customers can buy their macaroons, chocolates, cakes, and many other yummy confectionery.
The new boutique is designed to replicate their Paris flagship store, and will include most of their signature macaroon flavours. The macaroons will start at a price of $3 per piece.
Fans of the French pâtisserie will also be able to purchase Ladurée’s home fragrances from the boutique itself, and limited edition macaroon print t-shirts ($24.90) that can be procured at Uniqlo where a portion of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to Japanese association, IVY, to help children affected by the 2011 tsunami that devastated Tohoku, Japan.
