Bookmart Bookmart, one of the most established chain bookstores in Japan, is now located in the Central, Clarke Quay.
Most of the products in Bookstore Singapore are Japanese books, manga, novels, magazines and CDs, one strong selling point for all local Japanese culture fans. Almost all products are discounted for they are second hand but customers can be assured they are kept in tip-top condition.
Just like the books-only version of Cash Converter here, you can also sell your used books and other products – those that are not dirty, damaged or with scribblings on them – to Bookmart Singapore. Simply drop them off at the store. Alternatively, if you have more than 30 books that you do not have at home, you can apply for the "Home Pickup" service online and arrange for pickup by TAQBIN. Bookmart will then evaluate your items and inform you via email.
Although the outlet here is way smaller than the branches in Japan, Bookstore Singapore is a haven for Japanese learners. The staff, mostly Japanese, have limited English vocab but they are friendly and extremely helpful. Visitors are also blatantly welcome to stay and browse – one rare bookstore that allows that. So check it out!Related link: Bookmart Singapore
