Voyage Night Festival Singapore 2011

Night_Festival_Singapore_2011Jointly organised by the museums around the Cityhall-Dhoby Ghaut area, the Night Festival Singapore 2011 promises a night of dazzling outdoor performances and breathtaking art installations among other activities laid in preparation for visitors this year.

Together, participating museums – National Museum of Singapore, Peranakan Museum, Singapore Art Museum, Sam at 8Q and The Substation – with the Singapore Management University, have hosted this major event for the fourth year running. Through this event, the Night Festival aims to "inject cultural vibrancy and life into the heart of the city".

The event will be held on the 26 and 27 August, from 7pm to 2am. There is free admission for all. Information of specific art installations has not been released but the museum theme has been finalised to be "Voyage" – drawing inspiration from the history and culture of the Black Sea – and would include a wide variety of art such as contemporary music, dance, visual arts, light displays and film screenings.

Keep one of those two nights free! For truly, this will be great nights to be in the museums!
