Run & Raisin'

Get yourself an extra reason to run this month with Run & Raisin', an annual charity event organized by TOUCH Young Arrows (TYA) on the 31st of March this month.

Featuring a charity run and a carnival, the fundraising event hopes to raise $225,000 for the needs fo TYA's 400 children and families, while promoting family bonding and a healthy lifestyle. The first time the event was held last year in 2011, $100,000 was successfully raised for TYA's beneficiaries including children from low-income families, single-parent families, dysfunctional families, youths at-risk or by referral.

The run will be held at East Coast Park, with the options of a leisure 5km run and a competitive 10km run. There will also be a carnival with a wide array of food stalls, game stalls and performances, especially suitable for the young and families.

TYA is part of the TOUCH Community Services, a not-for-profit charitable organisation registered in 1992, and a member of the National Council of Social Service since 1994. The organisation is also the winner of the Outstanding Non-profit Organisation Award at the National Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2007.
