All the way from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to Singapore, The Wedding Dress: 200 Years of Wedding Fashion exhibition will be presented at the National Museum.

The exhibition relates the story and background history of the wedding dress, a dream of all ladies through ages, from the early 1800s to the present day through lives of notable dress owners, the rationale behind their choices and the influence of economic and social conditions of the time.

Gowns on display include those by celebrated designers including Charles Frederick Worth, Charles James, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano, Norman Hartnell, Vera Wang, Vivienne Westwood and Zandra Rhodes. There will also be wedding dresses worn by celebrities like Dita Von Teese and Gwen Stefani.

Plus, both western and traditional wedding costumes by local Singaporeans of various ethnic groups will be presented at The Canyon. The exhibition admission fees is $11from now till 30 October at the National Museum.
