NLB Book Exchange

Reading can be a joy. And from this weekend, by recycling your reading, you can also help save the trees too. Give a Book, Get a Book is an annual book exchange whereby readers may trade in their old books for another.

Even used library books bought from previous library book sales - as long as they are in relatively good condition and in either of the four official languages of English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil - are welcome. However, textbooks, magazines and audio-visual materials are not accepted.

From tomorrow to 23 April, 11am to 9pm, readers who drop off a book at any public library will get a coupon in return. These coupons are available for redemption at The Plaza, National Library Building on 24 April 2010.

There is no age limit and each person can redeem up to 30 used books but they are advised to bring their own bags for the books.
