This weekend, head down to the Marina Barrage to witness an exciting array of extreme sports such as rock climbing, jet skiing, wake boarding and speed boating at the Singapore International Water Festival 2010.
In conjunction with the Singapore International Water Week, the annual water sports event is held from 26 June to 4 July this year. The carnival of competitions and activities include dragon boat races, canoe races, Walk on Water races, rock climbing competition Rock Master and static display performances among others.
Rather than just be a bystander this year, visitors may also sign up for the Water Walk. Take a good look at Singapore's most scenic reservoir with this walk which extends across the Marina Bridge. There are, too, kite flying, sailing joyrides and a gallery tour open to on-the-spot signup by the public.
With admission free and shuttle buses provided from Marina Bay MRT to the Marina Barrage in 10-minutes intervals, the accessible event promises a splashing good time for everyone.
