Down The Path of Happiness

Down The Path of Happiness

The path to true happiness might be viewed by some people to be unattainable, somewhat like the stairway to heaven. There might not be a straight, permanent path for a lifetime of happiness, but there is a path for YOU to create your own happiness.

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”
– Dalai Lama

Happiness solely depends on ourselves and our perspectives on things. If you are all doom and gloom or cry and whine then you are not going to find your happiness anytime soon until you snap out of it and stop being such a crybaby. Nobody likes crybabies. Nobody.

Your happiness can come in all shapes and sizes. You can seek happiness through Kinder Surprise eggs, a spouse, money, material objects, job satisfaction and just about anything that pleases you. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. The whole “money does not buy happiness” saying is getting really old, who are other people to say what you can or cannot take delight in anyway?

“If you want to be happy, be.”
– Leo Tolstoy

Behind all the aspects that make you happy is actually your mental attitude. External conditions do not bring happiness, a good psychological attitude does. How you perceive the world and your outlook on different circumstances is responsible for the emotions you feel. Constantly having negative thoughts is definitely not going to make you a happier person. Learn how to let go and go with the flow of things.

I have continuously maintained that every cloud has a solid gold lining. Just because something bad happens does not mean that nothing else good will come your way in the event. For something to happen, something must happen first. So don’t fret and get your panties in a twist, life is regularly paving the way for you to learn how to seize the day. There are so many things you can take delight in when you look a little bit closer.

“Happy is the man who has broken the chains which hurt the mind, and has given up worrying once and for all.”
– Ovid

Seek, and you shall find your path to happiness.
