What looked like an extremely realistic Halloween decoration of a woman hanging from her neck on a tree turned out to be a genuine suicide.

In 2005, a little town of Frederica, Delaware somewhere in America, a suicide of a 42-year-old woman found hanging from a tree went unreported for hours because passers-by thought that the body was a Halloween prop.

The woman perhaps distraught with living in a town full of idiots, hung herself from a tree opposite some homes, near a reasonably busy road on a late Tuesday night. The body, suspended 4.6 meters above the ground, managed to hang there until the next day even though it could be easily seen from passing vehicles.

State police spokesman Cpl. Jeff Oldham and neighbors said people noticed the body at breakfast time Wednesday but dismissed it as a holiday prank. Authorities were called to the scene more than three hours later after someone who was not a retard, realized that it looked too real to be a decoration.

“They thought it was a Halloween decoration,” Fay Glanden, wife of Mayor William Glanden, told The (Wilmington) News Journal.

“It looked like something somebody would have rigged up,” she said.

The suicide took place five days before Halloween, which makes us wonder if the woman deliberately timed her suicide in a public place as the last practical joke she would pull on the unsuspecting morons of Frederica. If that was really her intention, first of all; RESPECT, and secondly, she should have worn a witch’s costume prior to carrying out the deed to make herself look more like a Halloween decoration. Can you imagine what will happen when Halloween rolls around the corner and the little kids cheerfully go out trick-or-treating? Now that’s a Halloween trick worthy of praise.
