People say Asian women age a lot better than Caucasian ladies, apparently this statement proves to be true for Miss Universe 1965. At the ripe old age of 67, Apasra Hongsakula, a former Thai beauty queen who won the title of Miss Universe in 1965 when she was 18 shockingly looks like she is only in her early thirties!
It seems just like good wine, Apasra only gets better with age. You might look at her past photos then when she was crowned Miss Universe and think that she doesn't look like much, but that's because perception of beauty in the 60s compared to now has changed a lot.
Her win in 1965 was a first for Thailand, though she wasn't the first from the South East Asian nation nor from Asia. However, her beauty and grace made a minor impact on the host nation, the United States, where five baby girls were given the name Apasra in 1965.
The thing that sets Apasra apart from other Miss Universe winners is that she has been practically reliving her glory days for the last 47 years and is not showing any signs of slowing down just yet. Unlike other beauty queens, Apasra did not fade into oblivion after her 15 minutes of fame were up, she used that to her best advantage and became a businesswoman, opening Aspasra's Beauty Slimming Spa
Of course you are not really that interested in her life story. The one very burning question plaguing everyone's minds right now is how on earth does she still look like a supermodel at 67-years-old?! Is she a cyborg? Does she share the same mutant abilities as Wolverine? Has she discovered the secret to immortality and everlasting beauty? Is she a vampire that feeds on the blood of children?
Rumors have started flying about this Thai beauty's mysterious youthful looks. Some reckon that he has been through an anti-aging course that cost THB 2.5 million (SGD $98,000). What miraculous course is this and where do I sign up? Someone should recommend this to Donatella Versace too!
Apasra denied going through some anti-aging course or any form of cosmetic surgery. But she did admit that she straightens her hair. GASP!
We don't really know her secret to looking as gorgeous as she does even when she is pushing 70. But let's just fervently hope that before she dies (if that is even possible) she reveals the location of the fountain of youth.
