Happy Halloween everybody! We wish you many spooky returns of the night with plenty of candy, let's just hope you don't get the dreaded mini box of raisins when you go trick or treatin'! We all know how party girls absolutely love this festival since “Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it,” as so eloquently put by Mean Girls. Since celebs are just like us except with a lot more fame, a lot more power, and a lot more money, they too love dressing up scantily and some of them have even had supernatural experiences! Here are seven celebs who have claimed to have seen ghosts.
Kesha didn't just see a ghost, she had sex with one, multiple times!
“So I was told I had dead people living in me so I called... my hypnotherapist. So then she said she had to exorcise my body. And then I got a ghost meter to read it and it just beeped at my vagina,” Kesha said on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "It seemed to be accurate because I have been going through a dry spell and it was like beeping around and it all makes sense now."
And then last year she told Ryan Seacrest, “It's about experiences with the supernatural... but in a sexy way. I had a couple of experiences with the supernatural. I don't know his name! He was a ghost! I'm very open to it.”
Maybe Kesha had just been brushing her teeth with a bottle of Jack again.
2. Peter Jackson
About 20 years ago, The Lord of the Rings' Director Peter Jackson woke up one morning to find a lady ghost in his room, unfortunately for him, she was not that much of a looker.
"I woke up one morning and there was a figure in the room, she was very scary, she had a screaming face, very accusatory, she was a lady about 50 years old. It was terrifying actually, a very scary image and she was at the end of the bed and she glided across the room and disappeared into the wall. I sat in bed and thought, have I really seen that? Then Fran came in. I told her about it and the first thing she said was: 'was it the woman with the screaming face?' Fran had seen the same woman in the same room about two years before,” Jackson recounted.
Jackson's story has the potential for a super scary horror movie, but instead of working on using his supernatural experiences to his advantage, he went on to make 50 more illogically long and boring LOTR movies.
3. Ariana Grande
Most of us were first introduced to her in Nickelodeon's show, Victorious, where she plays a very weird, ditzy, semi-retarded teenager. So it comes to no surprise that the “Problem” singer has had a ghostly encounter as well.
Here's what Ariana Grande had to say about her ghost/demon encounter: “We were in Kansas City a few weeks ago and went to this haunted castle and were so excited. The next night we wanted to go to Stull Cemetery, which is known as one of the seven gates to Hell on Earth. The Pope won’t fly over it. I felt this sick, overwhelming feeling of negativity over the whole car and we smelled sulfur, which is the sign of a demon, and there was a fly in the car randomly, which is another sign of a demon. I was like, 'This is scary, let’s leave.' I rolled down the window before we left and said, 'We apologize. We didn’t mean to disrupt your peace.' Then I took a picture and there are three super distinct faces in the picture — they’re faces of textbook demons.”
It's surprising that Ariana did not post that demon picture up anywhere on her social media accounts since she has posted like a million selfies on Instagram. Perhaps it's because it simply does not have her face in it.
4. Keanu Reeves
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Keanu Reeves said that he saw a ghost when he was around 6 or 7 years old in his New York apartment, and described it as a “cool” experience. He was in a room with his sister and his nanny when all of a sudden, a jacket came floating in from the doorway and then disappeared. The nanny saw it too and was stunned but he reacted like how any kid would after seeing a floating jacket and thought that it was awesome. He did not specify what kind of jacket it was, but perhaps it was a sign that he would become The Chosen One in the future and don on a cool leather jacket while dodging bullets.
5. Lady Gaga
If the Queen of Weirdness did not have a ghost story, I would be really surprised. Not only did Lady Gaga reportedly spent over $50,000 for Electro-Magnetic Readers (a.k.a. ghost detectors), she also claims to be the reincarnation of her dead aunt.
“My father’s sister Joanne died when she was 19 and he was 16. And when my mother was engaged to marry my father, they were staying in his house, where he grew up, and a light came into the room and touched her stomach and went away. She believes that Joanne came into the room and sort of okay’d her for my dad and that Joanne transferred her spirit into my mom ... So, when I was born, it’s almost as if I was her unfinished business.”
6. Demi Lovato
“I totally believe in ghosts,” Lovato admitted. When she was only 8 years old, she claimed to have a run in with one. “I saw a little girl. She was dressed like she was from the 1800s, and was standing in my closet.”
You know what's weird? Why are ghosts normally from several centuries ago? There are people dying everyday right? How come no one has came across a ghost who died in the 1980s wearing colorful leg warmers, arm sleeves, neon tights and a headband?
7. Miley Cyrus
Sigh. Miley Cyrus seems to be dominating all kinds of weird celeb articles and to be honest, I'm getting a little bit sick of writing about her. But there's a story to be told anyway... Apparently Miley rented a haunted flat in London.
“It was seriously so terrifying. It used to be an old bakery and they turned it into an apartment building, and I was having really crazy dreams and really scary things, and one night my little sister — it sounds crazy to tell you — but she was standing in the shower and all of a sudden I hear her scream. I run in there and the water had somehow flipped to hot but it was still … It wasn’t like the water had just changed, the knob had turned but she hadn’t turned it and it was burning her. She was really red. Before I felt this, I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching me take a shower so I felt really freaked out. I was sitting there the next night and maybe I’m crazy, but I could have sworn I could see this little boy sitting there on the sink, kicking his feet.”
Why didn't her sister just... I don't know, either turn the faucet back to cold or just step out of the shower? Why did she continue standing underneath the showerhead being scalded by hot water. Common sense; the Cyruses have none.
