1. Look InReflect, and write down a list of things that makes you stand out from the rest. It could be work or personal. It could be silly or genius. It could be superficial or profound. From being able to burp at will, to having slender legs, to being brave enough to take on any theme park rides, give yourself some credit and celebrate them. Look back on the compliments friends and family have given to you before. Be fair to yourself; recognise your strengths and gain confidence. And yes, no putting yourself down for having no strengths. Being humble, albeit too humble, is a positive trait too.
2. Work OutWe all know that exercise is good for us. So, why are we not doing it? Don't give me that excuse of not having the time to do so. If you have the time to be home wallowing in self-pity, or feeling bored, you could be out that making your heart beat faster. Exercise delivers endorphins to our brains, which makes us feel good and even more energetic later – a much needed boost mid-week. Plus, it helps tone your body so not only do you feel good, you will soon look better too!
3. Make OverDressing up, looking good and getting complimented is always pleasurable. Besides, it scores you more points if you look extra professionally dressed at work too. Spend some time shopping every other week. Or if fashion really eludes you, seek out a personal shopper to do the job. Then admire yourself in the mirror, and feel good about it!
